Metro Vancouver remains Canada's most expensive rental market despite a slight dip in prices this September. The average rent for a one-bedroom, unfurnished unit dropped marginally to $2,370, down by $8 from August. West Vancouver leads the region with the highest rental prices at $2,765, followed by North Vancouver at $2,665 and Vancouver proper at $2,530.
For more affordable options, Abbotsford is the cheapest, with rents averaging $1,683, followed by Surrey's Newton area at $1,744. Surrey's Guildford and Fleetwood areas also offer rents under $2,000. In Vancouver, Sunset-Victoria-Fraserview averaged $1,976, and Renfrew-Collingwood came in at $2,141.
